Istanbul, February 28, 2025 – Renowned Greek painter Manos Ioannidis, widely known as “the Painter of Colors,” has been awarded the Special Recognition Excellence Award by the World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF), an affiliated partner of the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI). The award ceremony took place at an exclusive VIP event at Maison Altuntas in Istanbul.
This prestigious distinction was granted to Mr. Ioannidis for his significant contribution to raising awareness about climate change through his artwork “Melting Penguin.” This powerful painting, depicting the dramatic impact of global warming, has sparked worldwide discussions on sustainability and the urgent need for environmental action.
Former minister and President of the Greek Tourism Authority, Angela Gerekou, delivered a greeting video highlighting the role of art as a catalyst for social awareness and change. Distinguished representatives from the global financial and art communities, along with Executive Committee Members of Forum Gokturk, also attended the ceremony.
